Well sized, ergonomically designed, and I like the strap.
The holster smells like nice leather, too.
I would like to see a version which fits the attachable handle of a hammer drill that clamps near the drill chuck.
Honestly, I spray-painted it with white vynil because I have OCD when it comes to colors. But the utility organization is handy, sturdy, and I can tell it can last longer than a lifetime.
I expected much better quality than that. The durability of the leather is mediocre. I am a ironworker and in my opinion it is good if I do 6 months with it.
I like the simplicity and size of the tool apron style vs. the bulk and weight of a traditional framers bags. But the traditional tool apron is sewn into the belt meaning it fits one person really well and no one else. This absolutely solves the problem. The construction is very good and the quality of the material will last a long time. Noticeably lighter than a leather version.
Things I like:
- Deep tape measure pocket.
- Additional cats paw sleeve (although I would say it should be on the other side since most people are right handed and swing the hammer with right hand the cats paw will be held in left hand. Maybe have on both sides?
- Belt works very well. Would like some way to better manage the extra belt but not a big deal.
- Adjustable bag location. This is the only one I can find that allows for this.
- The belt style allows for addition of additional hammer loop to be added to belt in the back for more framing style. I prefer to use the hammer loops for hanging power tools. Easier to hang/retrieve and less likely to fall off.
Things I would change:
- I don't understand why a carpenter would not carry a speed square. None of the aprons have a speed square sleeve. I think the addition would make this the perfect tool belt.
- The measuring tape bag is a bit small. Had to remove the belt clip to all it to function best.
Very impressed. Highest quality leather, very supple and soft. Will order again in the future! Thank you!
